Eroding Memories

I’ve always had the feeling that there are certain events, people, movies, books, songs, trips, that are different from the rest. As if they were engraved forever in my head, marking a before and after, a paradigm.

Those are the memories that become part of our bodies, our DNA, because no matter how many years go by, there will always be reasons that remind you of "those" specific memories. Like the first time I read Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye, or heard Pink Floyd's Meddle. Those are moments that are locked in my head, as if they were engraved in stones, and despite the constant and strong winds or waves that hit those stones, those memories never die, they become part of me, part of the stone.

This NFT exhibition is a tribute to those moments, which continue to appear. While organising them, I realised that in general, they all come from a time between my childhood and adolescence, and it makes sense, considering that it is in those years that one absorbs everything one sees like a sponge. Where the events change you, where the movies hit the head and the heart differently. Songs or sounds find us permeable to new forms, eager for culture.

These are memories that erode but will always be there, in these stones. Although we cannot recall them exactly, they are already a part of who we are today.

This exhibition consists in 6 different pieces. Each stone is treated in such a way that it looks like a precious stone or an element of great value, but the real treasure in the piece is the memory in erosion.
